All projects progress through a similar sequence whether it is a new product request or transfer of an existing mold program to our facility. Early understanding of required details is beneficial in trying to shorten the sequence time. If you require innovative design and development assistance for new products or conversion from multipiece assemblies to one piece untis, the process time line cannot begin until it meets with your approval. Once that is in place, Hedstrom Plastics provides timely and accurate quotations for economical tooling and part costs as required. To help you plan and estimate time needed to complete your project, please refer to this average time line. 6-7 weeks - Model build, model design and construction, detail check points, approvals, material procurement and/or formulation, first mold delivery 1-2 weeks - Mold review, sample processing, secondary operation and fixture processing, package requirement review, final part approvals 1 week - Production scheduling, processing work instructions, production training 1 week - Pilot production run, finalize processing, coordinate delivery
